REFUGEE CHILDREN FOR AUSTRALIA
CANBERRA, March 17
A total of 150 Jewish refugee children from Vichy France will be brought to Australia. A request by the Jewish Welfare Society to permit the children to come to Australia has been granted. The children will be between the ages of seven and 14 years,' and are at present under the care of the Roman Catholic Church authorities. The Jewish Welfare Society will undertake the responsibility for the transport of the children and their care in Australia.
