DISCUSSIONS AT HOME
LONDON, March 17.
Leading Yorkshire-industrialists and textile-traders had private discussions today with the "President of the Board of Trade, Dr. Hugh Dalton. No "statement was issued, but a correspondent says that among the subjects to be dis r cussed were post-war plans for "the Yorkshire, textile industry, export trade with Continental Europe, and the link with ihe- wool growing Dominions. It. is also, suggested that the postwar world market with the Dominions will be discussed. The correspondent recalls' that .the* British Government agreed to purchase the wool, clips' of Australia,. New .Zealand, and South Africa for the duration of the war and one clip afterwards. Wool growers in Australia * wish, the agreement to be extended to cover a few years after the .war. '. .
A conference of Dominion , wool growers is likely to be held in Australia soon.
