Moscow radio warned the German people last night that an Anglo-Ameri-can landing in Europe was imminent Dr. Breening, political commentator on the Berlin radio, declared: "Germany is getting ready for gigantic assaults." Moscow radio said: "The German High Command knows that a landing iis coming. This is shown by the systematic evacuation of the coastal areas of France, Belgium/ Holland, and Norway." London newspapers, advocating an immediate second front, are claiming that if Hitler can stabilise his front in Russia his next blow will be to the west. The military correspondent of "Reynolds's News'* says: 'rAli the evidence ! points to the conclusion that Hitler is fighting to hold a defensive line in the east and will not launch a new offensive agsinst the Red Army this spring."
