GERMAN SPY EXECUTED
LONDON, January 26. The Home Office announced the execution at Wandsworth Prison of a German secret service agent, Franciscus Johannes Winter, a Belgian, who was born in Antwerp in 1903. Winter was convicted of treachery and sentenced to death after a trial in camera in London on December 4. His appeal was heard in camera on January 11 and dismissed.
