THE MONEY ROLLS IN
How patriotic funds are being swelled by various activities was reported to a meeting of the Wellington MetroSolitan Patriotic Committee. The layor, Mr. T. C. A. Hislop. was in the chair. The return to the patriotic fund from the last meeting of the Wellington Trotting Club was £1306, making, with the £' for £ subsidy from"the Government, £2600. The Trotting Club was quite willing to hold another , meeting, and a letter had been sent to the Internal Affairs Department i asking permission to hold another meeting on April 3. *■..••• X y'■'."■" | Mr. P.
