(Rec. 1 p.m.) LONDON, Jan. 26. British commando forces made an extremely successful raid on Stord Island, south of Bergen on Saturday night, it is authoritatively stated. The island .contains sulphur and copper mines. . ~ These small raids are constantly being made, and conform with a,general broad programme. Berlin radio claims that the commandos were making for Larvik, near the entrance to Oslo Fiord, and that the coastal defences and motor patrol boats forced the attackers to turn back.
