DANGER ON PETONE BEACH
A warning is given that as a result of certain operations on the waterfront, several dangerous holes now exist in the Petone beach and parents should exercise care in regard to children bathing. Some of the holes have been marked with flags, but there may be others. The reality of the danger is shown by the fact that a few days ago a child, unattended, fell into one of the holes and was saved from death by a serviceman, who restored her with artificial respiration.
