GOVERNMENT STOCKS. j ' LONDON, January 22. Government stocks are Quietly firm with New Zealand and Australian stocks also firm, but rather less active. DIVIDENDS DECLARED. The Christduuvii Gas Company has declared a tinal dividend of 3 per cent., making a dividend of 5 per cent, for the year. The sharo transfer books will be closed from January 27 to February 10. both days inclusive. Tim directors ot' Mount Morgan, Ltd., have declared an interim dividend of S per cent, per annum on preference .shares for the six months ending February J5. It is payable at Sydney on that date. The transfer books will bo closed from February 6 to February 15, both days inclusive. G. J. Coles and Company, Ltd., have declared an interim dividend on ordinary shares of 4 per cent, for the half-year ended December 31, 1!»42. The dividend is payable on February 15. New South Wales gold production for the first ten months of 1942 was 63,5900z fine, valued at £604,801, compared with 75,8370z, valuod at £810,461, for the corresponding period of 1941.
