INFORMATION REQUIRED

The response to the requirement that building prganisers furnish details of th,e fire-watching organisation intheir buildings had been generally satisfactory, but there were a number of building organisers from whom no. return had been received, stated the F|re Protection Organiser today. The returns received, in most cases, disclosed that a f easpjiably satisfactory system under present condition's was in operation, but returns must be furnished immediately frpm. those organisers who so far had failed to comply with the terms pO^e public notices issued last month. These building organisers were given one week to complete and furnisn their returns, after which those who had, neglected ito ppmply with the requirements were liable to a penalty under that section of Jfte Act wli?(si prpvi^es fpr summary fines for breaches of discipline.
