LONDON, January 21. A correspondent says that if Rommel decides not to stand -in Tripoli he may choose the Mai-eth Line, 65 miles inside Tunisia, as a suitable place to, join the ,Nazi forces already- in "Tunisia. . . ■ Reuters correspondent m North Africa says the Germans are now strengthening this line and bringing supplies up to it from Tripoli. The line, which was/ originally ' built by the French, really consists of three defence lines with concrete emplacements and pillboxes. If the forces joined, the correspondent says, they would be' in a position to put up a long and desperate fight.
