GERMAN PROTEST
♦ ANTI-NAZI FEELING IN ITALY
LONDON, December 31. The German Ambassador to Rome, yon Mackensen, has lodged a strong protest "with the Italian Government against the recent anti-German demonstrations in Rome, Naples, and Genoa," says Reuters Ankara correspondent. Yon Mackensen protested that the Italian Government was not energetic enough in suppressing revolutionary movements, and is reported to have threatened German intervention if the demonstrations continued.
