DANISH VISITORS
Members of the Danish Association in New Zealand residing in Wellington recently entertained the captain and officers and the Danish members of the crew of a large overseas ship. The Lyceum Clubrooms, where the function was held, was decorated with Danish flags and an abundance of red and white flowers. The arrangement of two large "Dannebrog" flags, with the latest photo of King Christian X, between them, and surrounded by New Zealand fern leaves, was a striking display. One of the features of the evening was the elegant style in which Liirnbye's "Champagne Galop" was danced, a sight which has probably never been seen before in Wellington. Another pleasant feature was the lusty singing of several old Danish folk songs by the visiting seamen. A brilliant evening came to a close at midnight, and the visitors expressed sincere thanks to their hosts for a very pleasant entertainment.
