Thieves stole 15 cases of whisky, a case of gin, and a case of rum when they broke into the warehouse _ of Cooke and Co. Ltd:, wine and spirit merchants, Auckland, during the weekend. The total cost of the stolen spirits to the merchants was £175. The stock was ' being .reserved for the Christmas- trade, and the whisky was all in pint bottles. Not a bottle was left.
