DEFALCATIONS ADMITTED
(P.A.) WHANGAREI, Nov. 21. Thefts amounting to £579 from the Bay of Islands Hospital Board were admitted by Angus Campbell Mac Murray, secretary, of Kawakawa, in the Magistrate's Court, Whangarei. There, were 15 charges. ! Mac Murray, it was said, served in the Great War, and was invalided home from Egypt in 1940. All the money [had been spent on beer drinking, possibly as a result of domestic trouble or j his nervous condition. He had no means of restitution. Mac Murray was committed t to the Supreme Court for sentence. *
