A Navy Department communique issued in Washington states that United States submarines in Far Eastern waters have reported the following results: —Two large tankers sunk, one large passenger or cargo ship sunk, two medium-sized cargo ships sunk, two small cargo ships sunk. One converted plane-carrier damaged and set on fire, one destroyer damaged, one medium tanker damaged.
