ROSE DAY APPEAL.
Rose Day was first instituted by the Wellington R.S.A. 21 years ago, in commemoration of the Armistice Day of the Great War, 1914-18, and it has been carried on each year for the purpose of acquiring financial assistance from the citizens of Wellington to enable the association to carry out its many obligations fpr the assistance and service given to all returned servicemen, their families and dependants. In a statement issued today the association says that the public have magnificently responded to past appeals, but in connection with the appeal this year the association seeks greater support from the people, for men are returning from all branches of the overseas forces and these servicemen will receive Irom the.associa-, tion a share in their rehabilitation. i
