EXPORT MEAT
PURCHASE PRICES
The Minister of Marketing (Mr. Barclay) will announce tonight the purchase prices for export meat for the current season. It is understood that the main feature of the arrangement, which has been entered into this year between the Government, the Meat Board, and the operators, is to ensure the continued stability of the industry by a renewal of the Government guarantee to purchase the normal exportable surplus and to maintain buying schedules for livestock at approximately the same level as those operating last year.
