ASSAULT ON WARDER
(P.A.) INVERCARGILL, This Day,
Peter Lawrence Samson, 18, a Borstal inmate, pleaded guilty in the Magistrate's Court to assaulting a warder, George Steel, on September 21, causing actual bodily harm. The evidence showed that Samson 'rigged up a dummy in his bed and assaulted the warder with a hammer when he entered the cell. Samson was committed for sentence in the Supreme Court.
