RUSSIAN YOUTH
TRAINING IN WAR DUTIES
(Rec. 9 a.m.) MOSCOW, October 30,
All Russian boys and girls between the ages of 8 and 18 will be trained in war duties under a decree which has been issued. Military training, is being introduced as a compulsory subject in elementary schools from the fourth year upwards. Comprehensive military training from the fifth to the tenth years will be under the command of army officers. The training of boys will include grenade-throwing, rifle, machine-gun, and anti-tank gun shooting, chemistry, and skiing. Girls will be trained as nurses and radio telephone operators.
