FATAL AIR RENDEZVOUS
LOS ANGELES, October 29
A Congressional committee attributed a collision between an army bomber and an airliner in which 12 were killed on to an air rendezvous previously arranged between the pilot of the bomber and the co-pilot of the airliner.
The committee, in a statement, said that the pilots met at a party on the preceding night and arranged for the bomber pilot to time his take-off' to coincide with the airliner's, so that the planes would meet in Sap Gregorio Pass
When the meeting occurred, the bomber pilot wigwagged his wings. went ahead, and crossed too close to the airliner. The bomber pilot will be court-inartialled on a charge of manslaughter.
