NETHERLANDS COMMISSION
The functions of the Netherlands Indies Commission for Australia and New Zealand have been extended under instructions from the Netherlands Government in London. The Commission, whose principal task is to look after the economic interests of the Netherlands East Indies in Australia and New Zealand, as well as care for civilian evacuees, is charged with the responsibility of devoting its unremitting attention to the furtherance of the war effort of the Netherlands East Indies and co-operating fully with other parties to that end. The Commission solicits contacts and collaboration in the economic and financial sphere in the interests of, the reconstruction of the Indies.
