PERSONAL NOTES
Cabled news has been received that the marriage is to' take place on November 7 at Crookham, Hampshire, of Miss Eileen Sladden, elder, daughter of Mr. H. Sladden, Lower Hutt, and the late Mrs. Sladden. Miss Sladden, who is a nurse, is engaged to FlightLieutenant Basil Foster of the Air Ministry, London. She was in England at the outbreak of war and saw service in France up to the evacuation from Dunkirk, since when she has been nursing in England.
Mrs. C. Threlkeld and Miss Olive Threlkeld, who have been the guests of Mrs. C Spedding, Strathmore Park, have returned to Christchurch.
