MOVE UPON KOKODA

LONDON, October 29. Australian troops are again pushing ahead against Kokoda in New Guinea. For some days they have heen held up a few miles south of this advanced Japanese base and they dealt with some very strong enemy positions flanking the jungle trail.

There was some stubborn fighting, Tout now the Australians have mopped up these positions and are moving slowly northwards. Although the new Australian advance is slight it is de-f-cribed as significant.
