FINAL KORERO HELD

The final korero of the 1942 season of the Wellington Orphans' Club was held on Saturday night at the Returned Services' Association's rooms. The Governor-General, Sir Cyril Newall, patron of the club, attended by Captain H. G. Helmore, was present. The Minister of Defence (Mr. Jones) was also present. The president of the club, Mr. W. J. Osten; cornet solo by Mr. A. Butler; instrumentaltrto by Messrs. A. Williams, A. Hilliker, and H. Godier; Mr. C. Burridge gave a ventriloquial turn, and Mr. Tom Woods's quintet party also gave items.
