RAILWAY SMASH IN MARYLAND

NEW YORK, September 24. It is feared that 23 people were killed when the Ambassador, express from - Detroit to Washington crashed into the rear of the Cleveland night express and the rear Pullman car of the Cleveland train was struck by a freight train going in the opposite direction. The smash occurred at Dickerson, Maryland. The Diesel engine of the Ambassador express overturned and caught fire. One sleeping car fell into a deep cut. Nine injured persons were sent to hospital.
