SURVIVORS FROM H.M.S. MANCHESTER
LONDON, August 17. Many officers and men from the cruiser Manchester, sunk last week in the Mediterranean, are now known to be safe. Three officers and 142 men were picked up by British ships. Other survivors are in French ha*nds.
