LIMITATIONS OF AIR TRANSPORT

WASHINGTON, August 15. At least five years will be required to produce the 200-ton air transports which have been advocated by Mr. H. J Kaiser, president of the Kaiser Shipbuilding Corporation on the Pacific coast, said the president of the North American Aircraft Corporation, Mr. J. H. Kindelb'erger. He added that Mr. Kaiser's plans for mass production of flying-boats of the type of the 70-ton Mars were also impracticable. Mr. Kindelberger urged the maximum production of the proven 32-ton transports such as the Douglas G. 54.
