MILK SUPPLIES

ALL REQUIREMENTS MET

Unless unusual conditions are met, worries in the City Milk Department over securing ' adequate milk and - cream supplies for all requirements, regular customers, bulk and retail, the military and the schools, are over till next winter, a "IRost" reporter was told today. The extreme shortage lasted for just under a week, due to the combination of a heavy demand, the expected seasonal shortage of supply, i and a shortage imposed on that again by a patch of bad weather. It- wasduring this short period that supplies to nearby farmers had to be reduced and for a longer period the supply to schools was abandoned, to be restored' just before the end of July.
