ONE ARMY FOR AUSTRALIA?

SYDNEY. August 16,
One Australian fighting army by merging the Australian Imperial Forces and the Australian Militia Force is favoured by the executive of the Federal Parliamentary Opposition. Mr. A. W. Fadden, the Leader of the Opposition, states that the executive believes that one fighting army should enjoy tlie same conditions of service, pay. and pensions, and should be available for use wherever required to defeat the Axis Powers.
At present only A.I.F. troops may be sent abroad.
