The statutory, limit is 25 per cent. . Principal figures for August 11, 1941/ were: Demand liabilities to the State,1 £9,121,598; and to the banks, £12,760,716. Sterling exchange wag. £15,304,128 (N.Z. currency), advances to Marketing Department £5,769,873, and to the State for other purposes £18,500.000. The bank-notes were £21,959,951. Subsidiary coin, which, had been declining of late, shows an .increase ;for this week.
