Two-gallon screw-top petrol and o_ tins are urgently required by the Armj for the equipment of various types oJ motor vehicles, and the owners of sucr containers are asked to make then available to the military authorities as soon as possible. All permanenl Post Offices will act as receiving depots for the tins. Payment of 2s 6d will be made for each container in good condition, but. donations of tins will be appreciated. Tins should be deliverec to the nearest Post Office, where payment will be made if required. Manufacturing difficulties and the shortage of -materials make the appeal necessary."' "
