DEHYDRATED MEAT
COMMERCIAL PLANT
The Minister of Marketing and Agriculture (Mr. Barclay) announced at the weekend that the Government had given approval for the erection of a commercial plant for the dehydration of meat, find that all the necessary steps had been taken to ensure that the plant would be in operation in the shortest, possible time. ■ The United Kingdom Ministry of Food has placed an order with the New Zealand Government for 100 tons of dehydrated meat monthly, and it has- been announced by the Minister that a satisfactory price arrangement has been secured to enable commercial production of the product to. foe placed on a sound ecenomic basi&
