SYDNEY'S CENTENARY AS CITY
(By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright.) (Special Australian Correspondent.) SYDNEY, July 19. Sydney on Monday attains its centenary of city status. On Monday, July 20, 1842, the town became a city by legislative enactment. Public celebration of the occasion will be limited. The foundation-stone of the new city library will be laid. The library will ba built after the war.
