PURGING OF PANEL LISTS
"While shortage of staff does not permit the careful purging of all lists, steps are frequently being taken to ensure that doctors are not paid for persons who have removed from the district or who have entered the armed forces," said the Minister of Health (Mr. Nordmeyer) in a written reply in the House of Representatives yesterday to a notice of question by Mr. D. C. Kidd (National, Waitaki) asking whether doctors were still being paid 15s a year for men- whose names appeared on their panel lists but who were now in the armed forces.
