JERUSALEM,. June 13

Two of the first New Zealand V.A.D. nurses to" have a fortnight's leave, after six months of service overseas, travelled through. Palestine and Syria .to the Turkish border. They are Nurse Joan Simcock, of Hamilton, and Nurse Gladys. Osmond, of Otorohanga, both of the New Zealand General Hospital, near Cairo. Their entire journey, about 1000 miles, took them through every important town in Palestine and Syria, and. was made in vehicles driven, by men of the New Zealand forces.
