SUPPLY PROCEDURE

Arrangements have been made between the Plunket Society and the Internal Marketing Division, with the co-operation of the Wellington Master Grocers' Association to ensure adequate supplies of fresh eggs being available for infants, expectant and nursing mothers. It was explained today that if Wellington mothers wish to take advantage of this arrangement they should take their Plunket books as soon as possible to Plunket headquarters, 18 Kent Terrace. Wellington. Special chits will be issued, in respect of each book with the endorsement of the society, giving all necessary particulars, and these <?liits should then be presented to the grocer from whom the family usually secure provisions. Some expectasat mothers receive advice under the pre-natal clinic run by the Plunket Society, and these cases are known. Where, however, an exr pectant mother attends her own doctor or another c&iic. a certificate from thedoctor'or the clinic attendance card, will be required to be furnished to: the Plunket Society for inclusion in the scheme. • The Sateraal Marketing Division has made the necessary arrangements which will guarantee each grocer a full supply of fresh eggs against the Plunket chits held by him. The Plunket Society headquarters has decided to increase its staff to ensure the success of the arrangements, whjch will apply immediately to all ; Wellington sub" urbs, together with Nfeaio, Khandallah, Johnsoriville, Tawa Slat, Newlands, Kaiwarra, and Eastbourne. It is expected that the present extreme shortage of eggs will not continue beyond the next few weeks.
