NEW AUSTRALIAN LOAN

"The only justification for possessing money is that it should be saved and lent to the nation," declared Mr. J. Curtin, when demanding support for Australia's second Liberty Loan of £35,000,000. A New Zealand Day loan rally was held today, when subscriptions totalling more than £1500 were collected. The speakers were Mr. Taylor, New Zealand Trade Commissioner, Major J. Mothes, New Zealand liaison officer, and Mr. R. Stanley, representing the New Zealand returned soldiers in Australia. Mr. Albert Russell compered a programme.
