SOUTHWARDS PUSH?
BRITISH iN MADAGASCAR
(Rec. 2.20 pan.) LONDON, June 11. Vichy declares that evidence is accumulating that the British forces are strengthening their position at the northern tip of Madagascar, possibly preparing for a push southwards. It says that the British have cleared up the approaches to Ambiloba and Diego Suarez, leaving their hands free for an advance down the west side of the island.
