The basis of import licensing for the seventh period would lie announced shortly, said the Acting Minister of Customs (Mi;. Nordmey^er) today. Owing to the difficulty of obtaining supplies from overseas^ ' due partly to the shortage of raw materials and partly to shipping hazards, importer's should have as much ! notice as possible concerning allocatiolns in order to take the earliest opportunity of placing orders, he said. j There would be an increase in some cases and a decrease in others.'
