NEW PEAK OF FEROCITY
SEBASTOPOL BATTLE
(Rec. 2.10 p.m.) LONDON, June 10.
According to a message received in Stockholm from Berlin, the fate of the German assault against Sebastopol is now being decided by bloody hand-to-hand fighting outside the Russian defences/ The struggle has reached a peak of ferocity only equalled in the battle of Kerch, The Germans are fighting major engagements in order to gain yards. Another" Berlin report states that it is believed British officers and men are among the crew of Russian warships in the Black Sea.
A Finnish communique says that Finnish infantry and artillery in the Karelian Isthmus area repulsed a major enemy attack. ■*•-
