EMPIRE CASUALTIES
183,750 In Two Years
(Rec. 11 a.m.) RUGBY, June 10. Mr. C. R. Attleo disclosed in the House of Commons that a total of 183,750 casualties had been suffered by the Empire forces between September 3, 1939, the date of the outbreak of war, and September 2, 1941. They were distributed as follows:—
Totals ~ 14,887 168,863 Officers killed numbered 5607 from Britain, 534 from the Dominions, 106 from India and x ßurma, and 29 from the Colonies.
Those of other ranks who were killed were 36,660 from Britain, 4102 from the Dominions, 1333 from India and Burma, and 582 from the Colonies.
