British General Staff

LONDON, June 10. The reorganisation of the General Staff was announced in the House of Commons today. It is to ensure greater co-operation between the Ministry of Supply and the War Office. The War Minister,- Sir James Grigg, said that the General Staff would be divided into two parts. One, under the vice-chief of the Imperial General Staff, would deal with planning operations and training matters. The other Would concern itself with problems of the Army, organisation, and equipment. It would be under the supervision of Major-General R. M. Weeks, the newly-appointed deputy chief of the Imperial General Staff.
