GAOL FOR RECEIVING
A sentence of three months' im-l prisonment with, hard labour was im- | posed by Mr. J. L. Stout, S.M., in the I Magistrate's Court today upon Samuel Anderson Sharp, aged 52, a farmer, who pleaded guilty to two charges of receiving milk and ci-eam, stolen from i the Wellington City Corporation, and valued at £22 11s 8d and £2 17s 66, .knowing it to have been dishonestly obtained. ..Detective-Sergeant W. McLennan said that others were implicated. Mr,. W. P.. Rollings said that, Sharp had built.up a reputation for honesty and integrity, and it was extraordinary |.to those who knew him that he should have bought the stolen milk and cream.
