CANADIAN TROOPS
MARRIAGE RESTRICTIONS IN
BRITAIN
LONDON, June 8.
The Canadian authorities have now torbidaen their soldiers in Britain tt» marry unless they have enough money to take their brides home after the war, namely- 200 dollars They are also required to wait three months before marrying, } It is stated that there have been at least 3500 British-Canadian marriages since the troops landed The authorities are perturbed at the number of bad ones resulting from lightning courtships.
United States soldiers have noi been similarly instructed, but they are discouraged by official warnings that £w ther war moves may cause early separations.
