The police are greatly perturbed at what they describe as the "shameful behaviour" of women and girls who are roaming the streets and literally throwing themselves at soldiers and sailors. - . The police are seeking wider authority to prevent women from drinking in hotels and walking in' the streets until the early morning and generally "behaving disgracefully."
