GEN. MACARTHUR AN INDIAN CHIEF

CHIEF

WISCONSIN DELLS (Wisconsin), June 8. General Douglas Mac Arthur was made a chief of all the American Indians in ceremonies on top of a cliff in Upper Dells, on Wisconsin River. The honour was bestowed by the Winnebago chieftain, Yellow Thunder, who placed a feather war bonnet on a lifesize photograph of General MacArthur, declaring: "All the red men will fight beside their white brothers in the cause of freedom."
