Prompted by the attitude of a player who had been suspended for six playing Saturdays, the Wellington Football Association is seeking the co-operation of other sports bodies in having a reciprocal agreement made whereby discipline enforced upon players in one code shall be effective so far as other podes are concerned. The player in the1 case under notice, it was stated in a letter to the Wellington Rugby Union, had "received his sentence with marked insolence, remarking that, as on a previous occasion some years back when he was suspended, he would play for .the period of his suspension with another code." It appeared to the Wellington Football Association that sport in. general would suffer if the discipline of one code could be flouted through lack of co-operation, with other codes. The association was also taking up the matter with its national executive with a view to approaching the controlling bodies of other codes. The Wellington Rugby Union's committee last night agreed to the association's request that the suspended Association player be not permitted, to play under its jurisdiction during the period of the suspension, and the suggestion for an agreement between codes was viewed ' with favour.
