MR. P. W. CONGREVE

The death occurred on Thursday evening last after a brief illness of Mr. P. W. Congreve, Arlington Street, Wellington. Born in England, he served in the Royal Navy and afterwards as an officer in the Mercantile Marine. Coming to New Zealand in the early nineties, he entered the hard' ware business in ChristchUrch and later in-Wellington. He retired about ten years ago. Mr., Congreve was a keen rifle shot and a member of several clubs. He is survived by his wife, two sons, and two daughters.
