BOTH LEGS BROKEN

A heavy truck being driven from Hastings to Paekakariki by Mr. William Macey, of, Napier, crashed through the protective railing about half-way through the Manawatu Gorge yesterday afternoon and fell 60 feet to the river bed below. Mr Macey was thrown out and was found lying on a sandy beach with both legs fx-actured. The lorry was extensively damaged.
