FALSE FIRE ALARM
The fact that only about one in every 50 false fire alarms could be sheeted home was stressed by- Senior-Sergeant G. J. Paine in-the. Magistrate's Court today, when Peter Neilson, labourer, aged 54, pleaded guilty to giving a false alarm and to wilfully damaging a fire alarm. Neilson was convicted and fined £5 by Mr. J. L. Stout, S.M.. for giving the false alarm, and on the wilful damage, charge was ordered to make good the amount of Is involved.
